ConServe Prioritizes Educational Programs

Jeans For Charity Program Funds Efforts of Junior Achievement, ACA International and The Rochester Education Foundation

Rochester, N.Y. – Continental Service Group, Inc., d/b/a ConServe, is a committed community partner. Employees of the accounts receivable management company have effectively redefined collections while simultaneously improving the human condition. Not only do they prioritize ethics and compliance in their daily activities (the redefined component), but they also emphasize philanthropy and giving back to their local communities (part of their corporate mission statement).

Their company-wide Jeans For Charity program allows both the employees and the organization as a whole to support a wide range of community investment efforts, thereby engaging and inspiring employees while also reinforcing ConServe’s outstanding corporate citizenship.

“We appreciate the generous support of ConServe and its employees,” said Patricia Braus, executive director of Rochester Education Foundation. "ConServe’s support helps us to provide help to hundreds of city students filling out their federal financial aid forms for college through our FAFSA Fest events each year. This support also helps us to fund 10th grade college tours for Rochester students. Because of ConServe, more Rochester city students receive critical support for a bright future.”

About ConServe’s Jeans For Charity program

ConServe’s Jeans For Charity initiative began in 2008 when the team’s employees had an idea to launch a program that would provide a way for the company’s mission of “improving the human condition” to coordinate with the organization’s commitment of giving back to their community. ConServe employees are given the opportunity to participate in monthly charitable donations, benefitting a wide-range of recipients, in exchange for having the option of dressing down and wearing jeans to work for the entire month. The funds raised by the employees’ generosity are supplemented by the organization’s Matching Gift Program - symbolizing ConServe’s commitment to good corporate citizenship. This ongoing initiative is just one of the ways in which ConServe supports varied and diverse community agencies. To date the program has donated over $789,819 to local community organizations.

About Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York (JA)

Junior Achievement is a global non-profit organization that prepares and inspires students to succeed in a global economy by offering in-school and after-school programs in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship.

JA programs start in Kindergarten and are available for all grade levels through high school. Each lesson contains hands-on activities that align with New York State learning standards while encouraging innovation, creativity and critical thinking. JA programs are independently evaluated and are taught by a community volunteer who brings real life examples of success into the classroom and makes everyday lessons in math, social studies and English/language arts relevant to the real world.

The result is a unique learning opportunity for our kids and a future generation of engaged consumers, qualified employees and leaders who will drive the economic growth of our community.
