ConServe’s Jeans For Charity Exemplifies Community Giving

Employee’s Generosity Funds the National Parkinson Foundation of Western NY, ALS Association of Upstate NY, Alzheimer’s Association and Latina Unidas

Rochester, N.Y. – Continental Service Group, Inc., d/b/a ConServe, supports their local communities in many ways. As a means of bringing about positive, lasting change for their neighbors, the organization embraces and promotes a culture of giving. Both management and employees alike work together to support causes that have the ability to make a real difference in many people’s lives.

The company raises funds to support a variety of non-profit agencies and organizations as part of a diversified community investment plan. Through their Jeans For Charity philanthropy program, in conjunction with the company’s “Matching Gift Program”, ConServe employees can elect to participate in monthly charitable donations in exchange for the option of wearing jeans to work.

In the month of October, ConServe donated to the National Parkinson Foundation of Western NY, the ALS Association of Upstate NY, the Alzheimer’s Association and Latina Unidas. Christopher C. Jamele, the Executive Director of the Parkinson’s Foundation, Western New York Chapter, had these kind words to share upon receiving ConServe’s charitable donation: "We are so very thankful for the incredible generosity shown by ConServe and its employees. With the rapid growth we are seeing in the local Parkinson’s community, this donation will allow us to further our educational and therapeutic outreach across the region, reaching new and underserved locales.”

About ConServe’s Jeans For Charity program

ConServe’s Jeans For Charity initiative began in 2008 when the team’s employees had an idea to launch a program that would provide a way for the company’s mission of “improving the human condition” to coordinate with the organization’s commitment of giving back to their community. ConServe employees are given the opportunity to participate in monthly charitable donations, benefitting a wide-range of recipients, in exchange for having the option of dressing down and wearing jeans to work for the entire month. The funds raised by the employees’ generosity are supplemented by the organization’s Matching Gift Program - symbolizing ConServe’s commitment to good corporate citizenship. This ongoing initiative is just one of the ways in which ConServe supports varied and diverse community agencies. To date the program has donated over $812,000 to local community organizations.
